How Does Botox Work?
Botox and other similar products (eg XEOMIN®, Nuceiva™, Dysport®) work to relax muscle, preventing them from contracting. Many wrinkles form because of repetitive folding of the skin over many decades (so called “dynamic wrinkles”). When the skin is no longer folded, these lines soften, and sometimes go away entirely!

Does Botox Prevent Lines And Wrinkles From Forming Or Getting Deeper?
Yes! Getting Botox regularly can stop wrinkles in their tracks, so that they don't continue to progress and become more noticeable over time, as they would normally as we age.
How Long Does Botox Last?
The effect on lines and wrinkles lasts 3-4 months, after which the muscles will gradually recover their ability to contract and fold the skin, thus the lines will return unless re-treated with Botox.
